Mousetrap Car

Students will design, build, and test a car that will use only a mousetrap for power. They will begin by using the internet to gather ideas and information on building methods and design secrets.

Mousetrap Car Competition Rules

• The mousetrap car can be built out of any material.
• There are no restrictions on size.
• The mousetrap car must have at least three wheels and two axles.
• The only source of power is one 2” X 4” (approximate size) mousetrap.
• The spring mechanism may not be changed or enhanced in any way.
• The arm length of the mousetrap may be changed.
